SNSD also known as Girl’s Generation 소녀시대 which is under SM Entertainment is an 8-member famous Korean girl group consisting of Taeyeon, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Yoona, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun. Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun left S.M. 

Girl’s Generation is a second-generation K-pop idol that has been active since 2007. Their debut song was the most famous kpop song widely known as ‘In To The New World’ 다시 만난 세계 which was released on 3 June 2011 on their companies channel named SMTOWN.

5) Lil’ Touch (Oh! GG) 2018

Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG 소녀시대-Oh!GG ‘몰랐니 (Lil’ Touch)’ MV was released on 5 September 2018. This is the first single album of GG which includes the members Taeyeon, Sunny, Yoona, Yuri, and Hyoyeon.

Not only the music video but also the song is very addictive. The girls are seen in elegant dresses talking about boys being too slow to understand love. Girls’ Generation has been idols who talk throughout their songs a lot about the daily lives of people. This song gives SONE (Girl’s Generation’s Fandom Name) alternative ways to approach someone you love.

4) The Boys 2011

2011 the music video for The Boys was uploaded on the YouTube channel by SM Entertainment. The video is very different from their previous releases after 2010 a new era of kpop started using electric guitars and mechanical voices in their songs.

One of the lines which all the girls sing together is “Girl’s Generation makes you feel the heat” have agreed by many SONE (Girl’s Generation’s Fandom Name). Till today many kpop idols perform The Boys in memories of second-generation kpop. The music video has a very addictive choreography in the chores.

3) Run Devil Run 2010

17 March 2010 12 years ago music video for ‘Run Devil Run’ was uploaded which was the second full-length album of album repackaging by Girl’s Generation. 

The music video has only 2 backdrops that are black and white also the clothes which they are wearing are only of the 2 colors which are used in the background. Interestingly the video is only focused on the song and how they are showcasing the choreography. The song talks about boys who are trying to hide that they are cheating, Girl’s Generation says that it’s very foolish of them to act and says to run as they see those boys as the devil himself.

2) Gee 2009

‘Gee’ is known as a legendary song in kpop history as it totally changed how people use to look at kpop when it first came out. The music video for the song was uploaded on 8 June 2009 on YouTube.

The song was a fashion changer in South Korea, in the music video girls are seen wearing tight skinny jeans but the jeans were worn in a different color by every member this made colorful jeans popular in South Korea. Girl’s Generation has many third and fourth generations fall for them, because of this song many idols thought of becoming idols themselves. This video also has a well-known face in the kpop industry, the boy which is playing the employee of the month is ‘Minho’ from the K-pop group Shinee.

1) Into The New World 2007

The song ‘In To The New World’ is a very famous song in South Korea at the time when it was released it was a revolutionary song that was played in women’s rights protests, played over the border to North Korea, the song was also used in protests to improve education in South Korea.

The music video shows the world how everything is up to your own choices and not to wait for any special miracle to come towards you, there may be many challenges in the future but you should not give up and say goodbye to your sadness. The song talks about many difficult situations faced by humans which gives your heart a soothing feeling.

On 17 May 2022 Girl’s Generation’s Entertainment i.e SM Entertainment confirmed their new upcoming album, this will be the 7 albums released by SNSD since 2007. SONE (Girl’s Generation’s Fandom Name) got excited after getting the news of their comeback as it is after 2018 when they were focused on solo albums that the group as a whole is releasing the album. On 4 August 2022 SM Entertainment uploaded a music video teaser of the new album’s main song 소녀시대 ‘FOREVER 1’. The next day 5 August the music video for ‘FOREVER 1’ was uploaded by the company to their YouTube channel named SMTOWN.
