Our Blue Summer (暗恋·橘生淮南) is an upcoming Chinese high teen romance movie adapted from the novel of the same title by Ba Yue Chang An. It is a follow-up to the film “My Best Summer” and a piece of author Ba Yue Chang An’s “Zhenhua Trilogy,” however the actors playing Sheng Huainan as well as Luo Zhi are different.
Zhang Xue Ying, Xin Yun Lai, Wu Jia Cheng, Li Xi Meng, Jackie Li, and Liu Lin will be starring in the movie. The movie is set to release on the 20th of May, 2022. We are not yet sure if the movie will release internationally on the same date as well.
PLOT:
Sheng Huainan has long been a name close to Luo Zhi’s heart. To Luo Zhi, he is more like a beam of sunshine, and he can’t help looking up and following him. The carving on the roofs said that “Luo Zhi loves Sheng Huainan” symbolizes Luo Zhi’s silent display of affection. Luo Zhi was excited to start over, only to discover that Sheng Huainan was also a student at the very same university. The two grow closer over time, but they don’t attempt to express their emotions. What happens when real-life stresses pile on top of this secret love?
