The group’s name, LE SSERAFIM, is an acronym of the words “IM FEARLESS,” which was highlighted at the start of the company’s countdown event. This acronym conveys the next group’s powerful message and perspective.
“It symbolizes self-confidence and a strong resolve to move forward without fear of being persuaded by the world’s gaze,” HYBE stated.
While this is HYBE’s first girl group, the firm previously released Glam under the name Big Hit Entertainment. The agency acquired GFRIEND through the acquisition of Source Music after transforming into a hybrid lifestyle firm.
