Twice is a popular South Korean girl comprising of nine members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Twice debuted in 2015 with the EP The Story Begins under JYP Entertainment, after being established as a result of the survival programme Sixteen.
Twice came to domestic popularity in 2016 with their single “Cheer Up,” which reached number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, becoming the year’s best-performing single, and won “Song of the Year” at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards. “TT,” from their third EP Twicecoaster: Lane 1, topped the Gaon charts for four weeks in a row. The EP was the most popular Korean female group album of 2016.
