Solar (birth name: Kim Yong-Sun) is a member of the all vocals group MAMAMOO. She is the leader of the group and is well known around the globe for her strong vocals and great control over pitch.
Solar is making headlines by dominating iTunes with her first solo mini album! Solar initiated her eagerly awaited comeback on March 16 at 6 p.m. KST with the solo mini album “: FACE” and its associated title song “HONEY.” Shortly after launch, the album rocketed to the pinnacle of iTunes graphs in a slew of countries worldwide.
Since around 9 a.m. KST on March 18, “: FACE” had indeed topped the iTunes Top Albums rankings through at least 20 countries, which would include Brazil, Colombia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, as well as the Philippines. In the meantime, “HONEY” had topped the iTunes Top Songs rankings through at least five countries, including Malaysia, Costa Rica, as well as Singapore.
