The medium’s main website announced on Tuesday that now the franchise’s SideM project would have a stage version that will premiere in June at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo. The play will be premised on SideM’s mobile game Growing Stars.
The play is directed by actor Hirofumi Araki (Touken Ranbu), with a script written by fellow actor Mizuki Sano (1995 live-action Kindaichi Case Files). The very first game is called The [email protected] was released in 2014 and it is still endorsed. SideM, like some other games in The [email protected] brand, is based on the idea of “pop stars you can create.” The app focuses on male pop stars from the agency 315 Production (also spelt “Saik Production” or “Ultimate Production”). The [email protected] SideM is now available on [email protected]! The smartphone game was released in 2017, but it will be phased out starting in January 2021 and ending in August 2021. The [email protected] SideM Growing Stars, the program’s most recent game, was being released in October 2021.
After a prequel special about the three Jupiter idol team members broadcasted in September 2017, the first game’s Japanese animation alteration made its debut in October 2017. Both anime was streamed live on Crunchyroll as they aired.
Sumeragi began writing The [email protected] SideM Wake Atte Mini! manga in 2016 and finished it in January 2018. Sumeragi’s sequel manga, The [email protected] SideM Wake Atte Mini! Returns debuted in Dengeki Maoh in September 2018 and ran until January 2019. The sequel manga’s one catalogued volume, which included an anime episode, was released in March 2019. The first manga motivated a 12-episode t.v anime shorts sequence, which debuted in October 2018. Crunchyroll broadcasted the show live as it premiered.
