On March 17th, M-Net unveiled a teaser poster for Queendom 2.
Mnet announced on February 21 that VIVIZ, LOONA, WJSN, Brave Girls, Kep1er, and Hyolyn would appear in the second season of “Queendom”!
Former GFRIEND members SinB, Eunha, and Umji debuted from the group VIVIZ, who recently released their debut mini-album “Beam of Prism.” WJSN has been busy promoting in both variety programs and dramas, thanks to their numerous successful songs. Brave Girls, who rose to prominence when their song “Rollin'” had a revival on the charts, will showcase a charm they have yet to disclose on the show, while LOONA will highlight their snappy dancing and forceful performances. Kep1er, a new girl group, will also be a force to be reckoned with, having just broken the record for the most first-day sales of any girl group debut album in Hanteo history. Finally, former SISTAR member Hyolyn will be the sole solo contestant on the show, owing to her exceptional singing and dancing abilities.
“The six performers all have a history of placing No. 1 on music programs,” according to the “Queendom 2″ production team. They will delight music enthusiasts with outstanding performances that are as different as their different personalities.” Mnet’s “Queendom,” which premiered in 2019, featured a legendary lineup of female idols competing in various challenges before ending in a dramatic “comeback war.” The first season included Park Bom, AOA, MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, and (G)I-DLE. Due to the show’s popularity, Mnet launched spin-offs “Road to Kingdom” and “Kingdom: Legendary War,” which featured rivalry amongst male groups.
“Queendom 2” will have Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation as the MC and will debut on March 31 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
