Ive is a popular South Korean girl group consisting of six members Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo from Starship Entertainment. On December 1, 2021, the group made its debut with its first single album.
Gaeul, a member of the popular K-pop girl group IVE has tested positive for COVID-19. According to Starship Entertainment, she tested positive using a self-diagnosis kit and went to the hospital immediately for a rapid antigen test, which confirmed a positive result. The official statement is provided below:
Hello, this is Starship Entertainment. We would like to inform you that IVE’s Gaeul has been diagnosed with COVID-19. She received a positive result through a self-diagnosis kit on March 15 and immediately took a rapid antigen test, which confirmed a positive result.
All other members currently do not have any special symptoms and have all tested negative after taking a rapid antigen test. Gaul has currently completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and is experiencing no symptoms other than a mild sore throat. She is being treated at home, separate from the other members.
We will focus on treatment and recovery by prioritizing the health and safety of our artists and complying with the guidelines of the quarantine authorities. Thank you.
