Classroom of the Elite TV Anime Promises Two Additional Seasons in 2022 and 2023

On Sunday, an advertising video, as well as a picture for Syougo Kinugasa’s Classroom of the Elite (Ykoso Jitsuryoku Shij Shugi no Kyshitsu e) light novel book, appeared in a live-streamed special for the tv anime. The clip discloses that now the previously planned follow-up will be two seasons, airing in July 2022 and then sometimes in 2023 with the same company. The actors also revealed that the animation would reflect the whole first-year student storyline from the original piece.

To honor the follow-up announcement, light novel artist Shunsaku Tomose designed the visual ahead, and the team made a cake with the picture for Sunday’s special.

In July 2017, the first 12-episode broadcast animation show began. The anime was broadcast on Crunchyroll, as well as an English dub was aired on Funimation.

Since May 2015, Kadokawa released the very first volume of the original light series of novels. The novel series will be published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. In early 2016, Yuyu Ichino published a manga version of the first light novel series in Monthly Comic Alive. The manga will also be released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
