The 12th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump publication for this year was released on Monday, and it was revealed that Haruichi Furudate’s Haikyu!! volleyball manga will gain a special one-shot as to what Hinata and others are up to in 2022. The topic did not indicate when Shueisha would release the one-shot.
The fresh itself is an aspect of the manga’s tenth anniversary party. Other 10th anniversary projects have included a memorable book, LINE stamps traced by Furudate, a currently underway exhibition, a collaborative project with V League, a radio play (with a script written by Furudate), and a digital full-color version of the manga.
Furudate began publishing the original manga in 2011, and the storyline reached its conclusion in July 2020. In November 2020, Shueisha released the manga’s 45th and definitive volume. Viz Media is planning to publish the manga both in digital format and in hard copy, and the manga was digitally published concurrently with its Japanese release. The manga was also authored digitally in English by MANGA Plus.
The first t.v anime adaptation of the manga by I.G debuted in April 2014. The anime’s season 2 made its debut in October 2015, and Season 3 aired in October 2016. The first part of Haikyu!! To The Top’s fourth season began airing in January 2020, and episode 13 aired in April 2020. The remaining half, comprising episodes 14 to 25, was supposed to officially launch in July 2020, but it was postponed to adapt to the recent coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Part 2 will officially launch in October 2020.
The manga has also spawned several productions, a clay-animated short, montage anime films, and many video anime.
We can’t wait to see what is in store for us! Let’s enjoy and await for it!
