According to the authorized Attack on Titan Japanese webpage, episode 87 has indeed been pushed back a week, from March 27 to April 3rd, due to a “special programme.”
According to a latest report (ComicBook.com), the second half of the so-called “Final Season” will consist of 12 episodes. The series was supposed to close with the 12th and season finale, which was scheduled for March 27.
Nevertheless, as those acquainted with the original source are aware, there would most probably be enough surface to cover in the rest of the series. Could a film announcement as part of a special programme on March 27 usher in the series’ genuine grand finale?
Enthusiasts definitely believe so. “Yea that’s definitely an Attack on Titan movie announcement cuz I don’t think that’s enough to finish the manga,” one Twitter user posted. Someone else speculated that it might be “potentially announcing a movie or/and an anime original ending maybe, that’s my naive hope.”
However, some are not really showing a positive response towards this delay. Nevertheless, we are excited to see what is in store for us! Till then readers, Tatakae.
