‘Thermae Romae Novae’ trailer announces world premiere date of March 28

Thermae Romae Novae, the new upcoming internet anime remake of Mari Yamazaki’s Thermae Romae humour manga, has received a pivotal graphic as well as a two-minute teaser from Netflix Anime Japan, announcing its global premiere date of March 28, 2022. This will be ten years since DLE’s preceding TV anime, which aired in 2012.

The output of the innovative anime series was revealed at the NETFLIX Anime Fest 2020 event in October 2020. The unique anime, premised on Yamazaki’s original manga plotline, would also include two episodes authored by her. Lucius Modestus is played by Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!). Tetsuya Tatamitani (African Salaryman) directs NAZ (ID:INVADED), and Yamazaki, who has a cooperation agreement with Netflix, decides to join the proposal as series structure author.

The following is how Netflix characterises the manga and anime narratives:

In this humour, Lucius, a Roman Empire bath designer, unintentionally goes back in time to present-day Japan and understands Japanese bath heritage.

Yamazaki’s Thermae Romae manga ceased in March 2013. Initially, the manga influenced a three-episode animated series in 2012, as well as two live-action movies starrer Hiroshi Abe and Aya Ueto. The manga is published by Yen Press in North America, while the anime is licensed by Discotek. The anime is available on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and an English dub.

Our excitement for this show cannot be kept inside! Hope you all are looking forward to it as well.
