The launch date, trailers, and promotional schedule for Yuehua Entertainment‘s new boy group TEMPEST have been published. The six-member boy band will release their first album on February 21 at 6 p.m. KST. From January 19 until the launch date, the firm will continue to build excitement and draw attention through a series of content releases. TEMPEST’s promotional campaign began with debut trailers presenting Eunchan and Hwarang.
The first trailers will be published in groups and will provide a look into a possible plot for the characters. In Eunchan’s debut trailer, the term “Classic” appears, but in Hwarang’s video, the phrase “Freedom, It’s me” appears. In the videos, the settings are also different. The former is in an open field with an automobile, while montages of a piano on fire are visible. The latter may be seen punching mannequins and playing with volleyball. Two more members’ debut trailers were published on January 20 at 12 a.m. KST.
TEMPEST is made up of seven members, three of them are well-known to K-pop fans. The future rookie group includes Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Bonhyuk, Euiwoong, Hwarang, Eunchan, and Taerae. Euiwoong and Hyeongseop were contestants on the second season of the idol survival programme Produce 101. Hanbin, who took part in I-LAND, has the most people looking at him. He left BELIFT LAB in June of last year and joined Yuehua Entertainment. Hyeongseop made his acting debut in 2017 with Mischievous Detectives, a web drama. Hwarang has reportedly been a trainee for about seven years and appeared as a backup dancer in KARD‘s Enemy music video. Meanwhile, Bonhyuk’s talent helped him go through the first round at several agencies, including JYP Entertainment, FNC, and BIG HIT MUSIC (formerly Big Hit Entertainment). Taerae and Eunchan, on the other hand, will enter the entertainment world through Yuehua Entertainment.
There has been no word about their trainee years or participation in any projects as of yet. For several months, the rookie group has been in the news. The members created waves in K-pop recently with their hard-hitting renditions of NCT 127’s classic song Kick It and SEVENTEEN’s HIT.
